Smudging has been traditionally used by tribes to safeguard against negativity that could interfere with sleep. It can be used by healers to purify the energy of the room or people. 

For some, this may be the best of all benefits: Sage is a lovely incense with a divine aroma, pure and simple.

What you need for practice of burning sage or smudging:
  • a sage bundle (or smudge stick)
  • a seashell or bowl of ceramic, clay, or glass to hold burning sage or capture ash
  • matches over a manufactured lighter
  • optional feather or fan for fanning smoke

Care Instructions

Just spray Mat Wash on the mat, wipe with a damp cloth and leave to dry well. As an alternative to Mat Wash, simply mix a few drops of organic essential oil with lukewarm water and wipe the mat thoroughly.
